Second album under the alias DidouPh. Released and produced in 2001. It has been designed as a “symphonic” and “progressive” single work using synthetic sounds only. 15 track built against a single and simple composition scheme called stack and collapse. It means that audio layers are piled on top of one another until the density of the sound leads naturally to an audio unsteadiness followed by a global collapse of the eared material until the end of the work. This album is very important in my work since its the last “synthetic” one. It only features computer generated sound and will lead me to perform live “stack & pile” performance such as “The Motion Picture Show” (mps.matoilnet.com) and “Live from mon bain” (lost work). Its still very electronica inspired and sounds very artificial despite some warm or bright and melodic part, it aims to produce as much audible emotion with as little as possible effect and cosmetic. Its thus a quite minimalist musical experience but yet a complex one, A journey trough sound rather than a simple broadcast.
